Down The Spiralling Path

I felt the small pebbles
Rolling beneath my shoes
I felt the small shrubs
Brush against my trousers
Spiralling silently
Long gone the sounds of automobiles
I saw a blue sky

When the sun sets
The ocean reflects an amethyst glow
And swimming across the sky
A majestic aurora
Not a single person
Treaded on this land
Only us travellers
From far across the universe

An eagle flew across the canyons
As waterfalls spray foam into the air
Turning my back
To the hidden underworld
Up again we went
Climbing the spiralling path
And we closed the door

As se leaned on it
We looked up at the red sky
Then smiling
We walked on

A visit to one of the hidden worlds
